Thanks to generous community support, the Hospital continues on its mission of service and healing.

They provide emotional support for families, and encourage optimum development of children facing a broad range of challenging experiences, particularly those related to healthcare and hospitalization.

Our Orange County Credit Unions for family has increased fundraising considerably yet again this year.  Last year for CHOC they even raised more money then Walmart!

Our Credit Unions for Kids Advisory Council is one of the larger funders of our new patient care tower opening February 2013.  With their help, they have placed a beach-themed Choco Bear mascot statue in our new outdoor play area for kids to enjoy.  Our Credit Unions have also funded two outdoor gardens facing our main entrance at La Veta.  These areas will provide a much needed space for families and the local Orange community to enjoy.

Thank you Credit Unions for making a huge difference for the children at CHOC!

Bakersfield Memorial Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital founded in 1956 and has been a member hospital of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals for over two decades.  Dedicated to being a leader in providing state-of-the-art medical care and treatment to local children,  Bakersfield Memorial Hospital now boasts The Lauren Small Children’s Medical Center, a hospital within a hospital,  featuring a 31-bed Level II NICU, a general Pediatrics unit that is currently undergoing expansion and the first Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in the Southern San Joaquin Valley.  The opening of the new PICU in April of 2012 allows our children to be treated locally by Pediatric Intensivists, Pediatric Endocrinologists, Cardiologists and a Nephrologist.   A high-risk infant follow-up clinic tracks NICU patients after discharge and provides further support to our children.

Thanks to your support,  the Lauren  Small  Children’s Medical Center at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital will also include a Children’s Pavilion for Emergency Care where children will have their own separate Emergency Department and a beautiful Children’s Garden where our young patients can enjoy fresh air and enjoy outside  activity with their family when possible.   Construction on both projects are scheduled to begin in 2013.

We thank Credit Union for Kids and our local Credit Unions for their support that allows us to make great strides in changing the face of healthcare for local children in our community.

Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego, the largest children’s hospital in California based on patient admissions, is a 442-bed pediatric care facility providing the largest source of comprehensive pediatric medical services in San Diego, Southern Riverside and Imperial counties. Rady Children’s is the only hospital in the San Diego area dedicated exclusively to pediatric healthcare and is the region’s only designated pediatric trauma center. In June 2012, U.S. News & World Report ranked Rady Children’s among the best children’s hospitals in the nation in all ten pediatric specialties the magazine surveyed.  For more information, visit www.rchsd.org and find us on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

Since Rady Children’s Hospital first opened its doors in 1954, our mission has been to “restore, sustain, and enhance the health and development potential of children through excellence in patient care, research, and advocacy.” Donations made to the Hope & Healing fund at Rady Children's Hospital will help us attain our mission by funding life-saving technology and research, providing a safety net for children with little or no medical insurance and helping to create a healing environment designed to enrich the experience of patients and their families. Many special programs at Rady Children’s rely on donations to the Hope & Healing fund every year – programs vital to the healing process for children and families and for which little or no other funding is available. Child life, spiritual care, child abuse prevention and treatment, trauma counseling, art and music therapy, playrooms...all of these and more rely on the generosity of our community. Our partnership with CMN Hospitals and Credit Unions for Kids since 1997 has impacted the health of the children in our community greatly and has continually helped to fulfill the highest and greatest needs of Rady Children’s Hospital.

Culminating years of serving the region’s youngest patients and their families with expert care, Renown Children’s Hospital was launched in 2009. Each year, Renown sees more than 27,000 individual child patients, including nearly 4,000 newborn deliveries. Renown’s history of expertise and leadership in children’s healthcare laid the foundation for our membership with the National Association of Children’s Hospitals and Related Institutions (NACHRI). Our NACHRI affiliation was a first for Nevada, and we are one of just 228 such institutions nationally. Renown Children’s Hospital is also proud to be the only northern Nevada hospital partnered with Children’s Miracle Network Hospital – one of just 170 select hospitals in the nation with this distinction.

Renown Children’s Hospital provides the most comprehensive care for children and newborns, including many services that no other provider is willing or able to provide. Some of the unique services include:

    • The Wilbur D. May Pediatric Intensive Care Unit – the only children’s ICU between Sacramento and Salt Lake City
    • The area’s largest Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
    • Pediatric After Hours Care
    • Child Life Program - Child Life serves pediatric patients who are critically or chronically ill, as well as those who will be undergoing surgery, and have specific emotional or psychological needs
    • A dedicated Children’s ER and the region’s only Children’s Specialty Care (outpatient clinic), which treats children and adolescents with cancer, including leukemia, tumors and diseases of the blood, kidneys and lungs. This clinic allows sick children and their families to remain in the community and seek treatment close to home.

As the region’s only children’s hospital continues to expand to meet the needs of our community, Renown remains steadfastly committed to caring for the 220,000 children in northern Nevada and eastern California.

Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital is a Public District Hospital within the Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare District.

In 1989, Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital partnered with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to raise money for children’s healthcare services throughout the Central Coast community.  Since that time, over $10 million has been raised locally.  Most importantly, 100% of those dollars have gone directly to services that benefit children, both at the hospital and throughout the community.

Within the hospital, funds raised through the Children’s Miracle Network program help to fund equipment and services for our 11 bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and our 18 room Pediatrics unit.  Funds also provide support for an annual NICU Reunion, partially fund an annual Asthma Day Camp for asthmatic children, and funded the purchase of a NICU Specialty Ambulance to transport sick babies to and from our facility.

Outside of the hospital, Children’s Miracle Network funds provide support for individual children and community outreach programs in Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito Counties.  These programs include: Child Abuse Prevention, Cancer Support, Asthma Education, Immunization Programs, and Therapy Programs for Special Needs Children, to name only a few.  Additionally, grants are provided for individual children in need of medical equipment, such as hearing aids, wheelchairs, mobility devices, and much more.
