Children's Miracle Network Hospitals has grown dramatically from a televised fundraiser in a small studio to one of the North America's leading children’s charities. Right now, there's a Children's Miracle Network Hospital working to save the lives of kids in your community. In fact, 62 children enter a Children's Miracle Network Hospital for treatment every minute -- that's one child every second. Some are battling cancer. Some are suffering from a traumatic injury. Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals was founded with two simple goals:
1. Help as many children as possible by raising funds for children’s hospitals. 2. Keep funds in the community in which they were raised to help local children.
The organization was founded by Marie Osmond and her family, John Schneider, Mick Shannon and Joe Lake. Credit Unions for Kids Credit Unions for Kids is the brand under which America’s credit unions fundraise for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The collaborative effort, which is driven by a “people helping people” philosophy, includes individual credit unions, local chapters, state leagues/associations, two national trade organizations, business partners and several trade publications. Annually, credit unions are the third largest “corporate” contributor to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The program was introduced nationally in 1996 and since that time the credit union movement has raised more than $100 million for affiliated children’s hospitals. But the need continues to grow. Each year, Children's Miracle Network hospitals: Treat 98% of all children needing heart or lung transplants Treat 88% of all children with cancer Treat 76% of all children with cystic fibrosis Treat 72% of all children with pediatric AIDS Join us in helping the children in your community.
