The Children’s Medical Center at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital, will include:

The only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in the Southern San Joaquin Valley, scheduled to open in January 2012.

• An expanded Pediatrics Department for acute care patients.
• An expanded Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), which provides state of the art care for our tiniest patients.
• Outpatient specialty clinics on the BMH campus, which will provide services such as pediatric cardiology and endocrinology and a high-risk infant follow-up clinic to track NICU patients after discharge.
